Friends of a Feather Bird Watching Group

Do you enjoy watching birds and want to learn more about identifying them by sight and song?  Would you like to learn more about their habits, and how to attract them to your yard?  Or maybe you are knowledgeable about ornithology and would like to share that with others.  If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the Friends of a Feather Bird Watching Group is for you!

Friends of a Feather is a fun way to meet your neighbors and learn more about the birds in the beautiful setting of Trout Valley and nearby conservation areas.

Get Involved
If you are interested in joining Friends of a Feather, your name will be added to the club's email list and a notice will go out for when and where the club will meet next.  Weather permitting, the club usually gathers for about an hour with binoculars.  There is more time allotted when exploring natural areas outside of Trout Valley.

History of the Club:
Friends of a Feather started in the spring of 2016 to bring people together, amateurs and experts, to share in the love of the birds in our area.

Friends of a Feather Flock Together:
This group of men and women meet in Trout Valley at the Fen, or at the Fox River by the lodge, or in Fox Bluff across Cold Springs Rd.  Friends of a Feather members also often carpool to other nearby natural areas.  The group meets on Wednesday mornings during migration season  at 7:00 AM - the time of day when birds are active.  If there are interested club members who would like to meet in the early evening, the club could potentially add that time when birds are also active.
