Sign Posting in Trout Valley
Trout Valley Association Standing Rule:
Snow & Ice Removal
Because Trout Valley is made up of many hills, curves and narrow roads, the basic plan is to plow those areas that are most critical first. These include the steeper and more traveled hills, i.e., Country Commons just before it intersects Cary Road, River Road by the pool and as it passes Willet Way, Big Oaks, Turkey Run and Little Marryat. Next on the list are all the areas as vehicles approach stop signs – especially under icing conditions. When those areas are safe for travel, plowing of all the relatively flatter streets will commence – with parking areas at the barn and lodge last.
Snow Route
Any time the roads are slippery or have 2” or more of snow on them, River Road becomes ONE WAY HEADING DOWNHILL. All residents exiting Marryat at River Road should then turn LEFT and exit the valley via Brookbridge and Trout Valley roads. There will NOT be warning signs posted.
All residents are then encouraged to enter via Stonegate Road through the large stone gate. Leaving via Stonegate is NOT recommended, as it is a ONE WAY street heading south.
